چکیده

Physical layer security has been considered as an important security approach in wireless communications to protect legitimate transmission from passive eavesdroppers. This paper investigates the physical layer security of a wireless multipleinput multiple-output (MIMO) orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) communication system in the presence of a multiple-antenna eavesdropper. We first propose a transmitfilter-assisted secure MIMO-OFDM system which can destroy the orthogonality of eavesdropper’s signals. Our proposed transmit filter can disturb the reception of eavesdropper while maintaining the quality of legitimate transmission. Then, we propose another artificial noise (AN)-assisted secure MIMO-OFDM system to further improve the security of the legitimate transmission. The time-domain AN signal is designed to disturb the reception of eavesdropper while the legitimate transmission will not be affected. Simulation results are presented to demonstrate the security performance of the proposed transmit filter design and AN-assisted scheme in the MIMO-OFDM system.

Data-Aided Secure Massive MIMO Transmission with Active Eavesdropping

In this paper, we study the design of secure communication for time division duplexing multi-cell multi-user massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems with active eavesdropping. We assume that the eavesdropper actively attacks the uplink pilot transmission and the uplink data transmission before eavesdropping the downlink data transmission phase of the desired users. We exploit both...

Secure Precise Wireless Transmission with Random-Subcarrier-Selection-based Directional Modulation Transmit Antenna Array

In this paper, a practical wireless transmission scheme is proposed to transmit confidential messages to the desired user securely and precisely by the joint use of multiple tools including artificial noise (AN) projection, phase alignment (PA)/beamforming, and random subcarrier selection (RSCS) based on OFDM, and directional modulation (DM), short for RSCS-OFDM-DM. This RSCS-OFDM-DM scheme pro...

Physical layer security of MIMO-OFDM systems by beamforming and artificial noise generation

In this paper we address physical layer security in MIMO frequency selective wireless channels in the presence of a passive eavesdropper, i.e., the associated channel is unknown to the transmitter. Signalling is based on orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). Spatial beamforming and artificial noise broadcasting are chosen as the strategy for secure transmission. The contribution of...

Space Time Turbo Coded OFDM with Joint Transmit and Receive Antenna Selection

This paper discusses the performance of antenna selection technique in space time turbo coded MIMO-OFDM systems. Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) technology can either increase the data rate through spatial multiplexing or improve the reliability through diversity. Space-time turbo codes (STTC) have been proposed to provide robust communications in MIMO wireless environment. STTC technique...
